USGA Rules will govern all play, except as modified by local rules. If a player elects to withdraw from the tournament, she must promptly notify the MSGA-WD Officer in Charge. This is to ensure an alternate a fair opportunity to play. Participants who withdraw after the qualifying round will need to provide a reason for such withdrawal in order to be considered eligible for next year’s tournament. All participants should arrive at the first tee no later than 5 minutes prior to their appointed starting time. The MSGA-WD will institute the local rule, outlined in Appendix I in The Rules of Golf, permitting the use of distance measuring devices in the Women's Amateur Championship. |
