Caddies

All competitors are prohibited from using caddies.  No motorized carts will be permitted.  The use of pull carts is at the discretion of the host club.

Conditions and Regulations

1.        Entries open on May 14, 2009 and a properly completed application and entry fee of $50.00 for 36-hole Competitors and $25.00 for 18-hole Competitors must be submitted to the MSGA office by 5:00 PM on June 11, 2009.  Make checks payable to MSGA-WD.  Checks must be for this event only.  NO REFUNDS AFTER JUNE 18, 2009.

2.        Applications must include date of birth and age group.

3.        ENTRIES DATED AFTER JUNE 11, 2009 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  ENTRIES MAY BE REFUSED BY THE MSGA-WD OR HOST CLUB AT ANY TIME.  PROPER ATTIRE REQUIRED.   For more information about the dress code policy, please visit the MSGA website at www.msga.org.  DRESS CODE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.     

4.        The MSGA-WD Officer in Charge shall assign pairings and starting times.

5.        Starting times and pairings will be available on June 18, 2009.  They will be sent to participants via email.  Additionally, they will be posted on the MSGA website and they may be obtained by calling the host club’s Pro Shop at 410-571-0973.

Eligibility

This tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are residents of Maryland or are members of member clubs of the MSGA who will have reached 9 years of age, but have either (1) not reached their 18th birthday or (2) have reached their 18th birthday but have not reached their 19th birthday and have not yet attended college. 

RULES

USGA Rules govern all play, except as modified by local rules.  If a player elects to withdraw from the tournament, she must promtly notify the MSGA-WD Officer-in-Charge.  This is to ensure that an alternate has a fair opportunity to play.  All participants should arrive at the first tee no later than 5 minutes prior to the participant's appointed starting time.  The MSGA-WD will institue the local rule, outlined in Appendix I in The Rule of Golf, permitting the use of rangefinders in the Junior Girls Championship.
