2nd Women's Mid-Amateur Championship

The tournament will be a 36-hole stroke play competition with no cut after the first day of competition

1.        Entries open on April 20, 2009 and a properly completed application and entry fee of $125.00 must be submitted to the MSGA office by 5:00 PM on May 21, 2009.  Cart fees and range balls are included in the entry fee.  Make checks payable to MSGA-WD.  Checks must be for this event only.  NO REFUNDS AFTER May 25, 2009.

2.        Applications must include USGA Index as of April 15, 2009.

3.        ENTRIES DATED AFTER MAY 25, 2009 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  ENTRIES MAY BE REFUSED BY THE MSGA-WD OR HOST CLUB AT ANY TIME. 

4.        PROPER ATTIRE REQUIRED.  For more information about the dress code policy, please visit the MSGA website at www.msga.org.  DRESS CODE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

5.     The MSGA-WD Officer-in-Charge shall assign pairings and starting times.

6.        Starting times and pairings will be available on May 25, 2009.  They will be sent to participants via email.  Additionally, they will be posted on the MSGA website and they may be obtained by calling the host club’s Pro Shop at 301-349-2900 extension 202.

This tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are residents of Maryland or members of member clubs of the MSGA with a USGA INDEX of 25.0 or less as of April 15, 2009, and who have reached their 30^th birthday by midnight of the first day of play.

Appropriate merchandise prizes will be awarded to the low scoring amateurs.  The Champion will have her name engraved on the permanent trophy.  In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will follow immediately after the completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards according to the USGA recommended method.  Prizes will be awarded in Gross and Net divisions.
